Making Claims Less Stressful ! 

Whether it is fire, flood, storm or vandalism, a significant claim at your business can be very stressful and very time consuming.

In the event of a large claim, your insurers are likely to appoint a loss adjuster to handle the claim on their behalf and who will report to your insurers on the validity and cost of the claim and to agree a settlement with you.

As your appointed Insurance Brokers, we will always help our clients in the event of a claim, including help in reporting the claim, liaising with insurers and arranging settlement.  

In the event of a very large claim, we also recognise that clients may benefit from the professional assistance of a claims specialist. A professionally qualified claims technician that in the event of a large claim affecting your business will be able to make virtually immediate contact with you and meet with you at your premises within 24 hours. They will help you take immediate action in protecting your property, effecting repairs and liaising with your insurer's loss adjuster to ensure your rights under the policy are fully protected and to arrange an appropriate settlement. 

We have had recent experience of a client having a very serious fire at their business premises and which was settled for approximately £3,000,000.  The costs of the loss adjuster they appointed to assist in this claim would have been £75,000 but which would not have been recoverable through their standard business insurance policy.

In recognising this, PJIS have negotiated a very cost-effective insurance policy that will pay for 100% of the costs of appointing your own Loss Adjuster for a material damage and/or business interruption claim that is likely to exceed £5,000.
